Operation Christmas Child

Area Coordinator: Theresa A. Martin

Faith and Grace Parish has participated in Operation Christmas Child every fall, for a number of years. From children to seniors, people pack shoeboxes each year to bless children in need around the world. Every year this ministry has grown, not only from the increase in the number of boxes collected, but through volunteers increasing their donations of time and money. The Youth of Immanuel have also supported this ministry, choosing to make a difference in children’s lives all around the world with their generosity. Through the gift of a shoebox, Samaritans purse invites each child to a class called “The Greatest Journey” where they learn about the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. Their family and neighbors are also invited to attend the classes. Many churches all around the world are started this way every year. And it all starts with just a shoebox! This is a wonderful way for our churchs to support the spread Christianity and discipleship in our world thru this Evangelism Ministry.
